I don't think there is a book in the Bible that I would call the Best. I can say there are a few that I love over the others. The book of John is my favorite gospel because though some people think it is simply a book made for new believers, it is, in fact, a book that is full of metaphors and symbols. It's wonderful to me to dig into all of that. Outside of that, I love the book of Hebrews. It connects the Jewish priesthood to Christ. I like that connection. The letters of John are also wonderful to me because they constantly describe God as love and light. Those metaphors for God are comforting to me. I love that image of God.

I think Proverbs is the best book to start a habit of reading the Bible. There are 31 chapters that can be read easily each day of the month. Proverbs gives a lot of good practical advice for everyday living. However, if you really get into it you will find yourself reading the whole Bible and not able to choose a favorite book.

I like so many, but Ezekiel was a stud. He was passionate. Habakkuk is pretty cool. John is great and loaded with spiritual depth, but it's HARD! In it, Jesus tells the multitudes that "unless you eat My flesh and drink My blood, you can never enter the kingdom of heaven" Judges is a fabulously interesting read, and I've taught from it lotsa times: lots of practical application.

the old and new testament are divided into different parts. My favorite book of Moses is Leviticus, My favorite book of history is Judges, my favorite book of poetry is Ecclesiastes, my favorite major prophet is Lamentations, my favorite minor prophet is Haggai. Those are my favorite of the old testament. New Testament, my favorite book of the gospel is Mark, my favorite book of history is Acts(It's the only book of history in the new testament) my favorite letter to the epistles is Titus, My favorite letter to john is Jude, and my favorite book of prophesy is Revelations(It's the only book of prophesy!)

Leviticus, because it allows me own slaves and kill anyone who plants two different crops in the same field, but then Exodus is pretty good as well because it allows me to sell my daughters into slavery (two gone, one to go), and because I can kill my neighbor for working in his yard on Sunday (making me look bad). But if I get my slaves to work on Sundays, is that ok or bad? I mean they are only slaves in God's eyes, so they really should not count.

People will. of course, give a variety of answers.
For me it has to be ROMANS ...the gospel according to Paul.
It is a well-thought out, and cogently produced proclamation of the Gospel.
Having said that, I love the whole Book
