Somewhere between 10% and 20% the cost of your treatment, if you think they did a really good job. In NYC people tend to tip more than anywhere else, so I'd probably go for 20% if you can.

At the hotel where I used to work, $15-20 was considered a decent tip for a full-body massage.

I remember being called to work in the dark and the rain, commuting 2 hours to give two massages (for which I was paid $30 apiece), the clients raved about how incredible the massage was and how relaxed they were ("I'm a massage therapist too, and I know a good massage when I feel one! That was so wonderful!") and proceeded to leave no tip at all. Unfortunately, this happened over and over, and as a result I had to stop working there. Everyone said they loved the massages, but I was killing myself and making only a few dollars over and above the gas it took to get there.

My point? If you really like someone's work, tip well so they'll be there when you come back. ;)

I tip 5 bucks, but I live in a rural area, my guess is that in NYC, it would be doubled or tripled
