It is perfectly fine to mix canned food with dry food.

Canned food is usually high in usable meat protein and low in carbohydrates. It is easily digested.
Contrary to popular belief dry food doesn't clean teeth and canned food doesn't cause tooth problems. Canned food also doesn't contain sugars like many of the lower quality dry foods do.

Yes it is fine to mix..........
Did you know that wet food is better for you dog then dry!!
People think it is dry that is better because it cleans the teeth but really the difference between wet and dry with tarter is less then 5%. Dry food has more chemicals in it where as wet food is canned then cooked so no chemicals in it. I recommend feeding just wet food it is better for your dog.

Yeah I always give my dog dry food and then use a very little bit of the canned food for a little flavor. Good dry food is better (healthwise) but a little canned food doesn't hurt. I wouldnt switch or just give canned food alone though.

I would mix them just enough for the dry food to get wet. Canned dog food makes them urinate more often, and if no one is home, you have a problem!

Yes. but you may wont to get rid of the canned for the dogs sake most of it is water that you are paying through the nose for. Dry helps with the teeth and gut go for a reputable brand like Dr Johns (By appointment to the queen) in the UK available from animal feed merchants. a big bag will keep my two dogs fed for a month and only costs £8.00 feed it by weight of animal.

Switching back and forth is not really good but you can mix them. There should be instructions on the back of the bag or can to tell you the best % mix to use. Make sure to use the same brand of food everytime.

I mix wet and dry together. I don't change brands though - best to pick 1 good brand and stick with it, changing foods can cause major stomach drama!

Depends on your dog. Some dogs can tolerate changes. they can eat just about anything . Others have more sensitive tummy's and you'll end up with a companion that has gas or diarrhea (have you ever smelled doggy gas!!!) . Any changes should be gradual. Small portions at a time only. Ask your vet if you're still not sure or worried

Nooooooo problem. I give my dog mostly dry and mix in a little canned so it mixes with the gravy. She's in heaven after that.
