I love drinking shakes. Today for lunch I made one that was:
1 banana
1 scoop chocolate meal replacement powder
1/4 container tofu
3/4 cup milk
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 cup baby spinach leaves

I really don't like spinach except in shakes. Is it just as healthy and nutrient dense for me to blend it all up or would it be better for me to eat the foods whole. I find when I drink a shake I'm full for hours so the foods don't stay with me longer to eat them whole.

Chocolate meal replacement powder = sorta kinda like slim fast but a lot less sugar in the stuff that I have.

It actually helps me quite a bit when I can drink liquids instead because I have a jar problem that gets irritated when I chew too much.

What on earth is chocolate meal replacement powder? That sure dont sound healthy. I guess drinking chocolate and spinich together is marginly better than eating it on the same plate. As to healthy, you exercise your jaws more and grind down your teeth and produce more digestive saliva when you chew, so don't give up on it entirely or you may end up a slack jawed dracular type with indigestion!!

You still need "roughage", powdered or liquified fiber doesn't do quite the same job as if it was chewed. Colon cancers have been linked to the lack of enough fiberous foods in diets.
