all religions clash - especially with the Truth.
so being different religions doesn't mean anything, as long as you Love your fiance and she Loves you.

In Christian background there is something referred to as the great Schism. Out of that got here the Catholics who sought to alter various the unique order of the church, and the Orthodox who chosen to proceed to be with the traditions unchanged. Greek Orthodox isn't distinctive from Christianity. it extremely is in basic terms the unique branch of all the different denominations.

Arguably, Greek Orthodoxy is the oldest existing form of Christianity. By Christian, I assume you mean fundamentalist or evangelical protestant. That is not the only form of Christianity there is. I'm assuming you are a product of the dumbed down educational system we liberals instituted back in the 70s at the behest of our Communist masters. Boy, are we ever sorry about that!

Anyway, you might want to learn something about the world around you before you make any lasting commitments--like marriage--to anybody or anything. I mean that in the kindest way possible.

Greek Orthodox were among the first Orthodox Liberals. You can't quite call them Protestant, so they are a form of Catholic.

They were ONCE a part of the Catholic hierachy, but decided to do liturgy in Greek no Latin, decided to let Priests continue to get married and don't view divorce as a total no-no. They also kept some books in the Bible Catholics and Protestants don't have.

They are Reformsit Catholics that don't kiss the Pope's ring.

The Greek Orthodox Christian Church broke away from the Roman Catholic Church long before the Protestants even thought about doing so. They are Christian, sometimes, these days, there are reasons to wonder if Protestants are Christian.

Greek Orthodox is a form of Christianity. So they both go back to Jesus.
Still, depending on how strict your Christianity is (assuming from the lack of specifics I'll guess protestantism of some sort) - and how strict his is - you may or may not be able to find a priest to marry you in a way that does not involve either one of you to leave your faith...

There is no difference. The Orthodox churches are completely Christian. Think of it as a sub-division of Christianity, a denomination. It indicates a certain type of Christianity, and a certain liturgical style of worship.

I am assuming that you are a Westerner, and probably a protestant. If you want to see an article explaining Orthodox Christianity from a Westerner's point of view, then try these articles:
