Where is the best place to park in Manhattan for scenic view?

I love to look at the hudson river in Manhattan with someone, but I can't find a good place to park and enjoy the scenery. Can someone give me a good spot to park and watch the scenery (make out) in Manhattan?

Try New Jersey.

Inwood Hill Park at the far north end of Manhattan has a lot of quiet, secluded areas and a lovely view of the New Jersey palisades. Slightly south of there there Riverside Park (near Grant's Tomb) is also nice.
