I paid PA state tax when I was working in PA. Do I need to file both NY and PA state tax returns?

Generally, yes, but depends on the amount of income. You will have to look at the filing requiremnets for PA to see if you are required to file.

Yes. An allocation has to be made as Part-Year PA and Part-Year NY.

I think you do. It will generally be a wash. You'll get back PA but have to pay NY. I hate taxes.

Yes you do - PA as nonresident.
