I was wodering, if anybody knew anythings that was omitted from the prince of Egypt of if anything was added?

If you notice at the beginning of the movie, they give you a disclaimer that says this is based on the bible, which means, they took creative license.. .just a few things that differ from the bible:

1. In the biblical account, Moses was drawn from the water by Seti's wife, not his sister.

2. In the movie, Moses' mother doesn't nurse him- Miryam doesn't approach pharoah's daughter about this.

3. murder of the taskmaster. Biblical account- Moses murders him and hides the body. In the movie, he accidentally knocks him off a beam.

4. Moses and the burning bush.. Moses argues with god in the bible, not in the movie.

5. In the bible, Aaron (moses' brother) was the spokesperson for Moses and God. In the movie, it was all Moses.

6. Moses was 83, according to the bible, when he went to egypt to beg for the release of his people.. in the movie, he was young.

7. The plagues take up five chapters in the bible. They are quite condensed in the movie.

That's just a few.. reading the book of Exodus might help you in finding all of the differences.

there was some poetic liscense used....

1) Moses' own mother took care of him in Pharoh's house
2) there is no mention of the royal brotherhood of Moses in the Bible
3) the pharoah at the time was likely not Ramisees
4) Mariam and Moses' meeting was never mention in the Bible
5) Aaron wasn't a coward
6) Aaron spoke for Moses, Aaron weant down to Egypt with him, not Moses' wife.
7) the 10 commandments weren't written directly after the crossing of the Red Sea
8) Moses had sons
