Pedometer is great.
I like to run in a park that has a one mile loop. If I use the streets, then I plug the points into a Google Map Pedometer, link below

You can get a very cheap pedometer at places such as Walmart or Target. Or you can find a treadmill, walk at your normal pace, and see how long it takes you to walk a mile. If it takes, say, 15 minutes, you can make an educated guess that if you walk a half hour at your normal pace, you've walked two miles. The same can be done on any local high school track, virtually all of which are one quarter mile around. Walk around it at your normal pace four times and time yourself.

Get a pedometer, this will at least let you see how many steps more or less that you are doing. If you know your average stride length you can work out the distance. Most people walk significantly less than they think!

Drive a car the same route and look at the odometer.
Wear a pedometer. They don't cost much. A good one is around 12 bucks. You will measure your stride and then while you walk it will keep track of your steps. You can program them to alert you when you have reached your goal. I have one that talks to me. I like it a lot. It was around 20 bucks.

You can buy small calculators called pedometers that will tell you this. You find out how long each one of your steps is, program it into the machine, hook it up to your clothing, and leave it on for as long as you are walking. It's pretty simple once you get used to it.

Get a pedometer. It measures distance walked. You can get them practically anywhere these days. Try Target.

well, it's good to just get out there and walk regardless, but if you have to know the mileage, ,what i do is 2 things. one, i drive my car the route that i walked, or ran. Two, is that i have one of those waste odometers that tell you how much you've walked. You can get one of those things for like less than 6$ at any sporting goods place, or walmart.

Get yourself a pedometer. You wear it while you walk.
OR
You can drive your normal walking route and see how many miles you have put on your car.
