Yes, but by who and for what? "Satan masquerades as an angel of light." Buddhists claim to be enlightened but their enlightenment is useless. Same with Hindus, because anyone that claims the idea of enlightenment but denies the reality of the power of the resurrection of Christ has no light in their life. Jesus is the light.

I would be a little confused, wouldn't an enlightened person not tell you they are enlightened but rather let you see it in their actions? And if not, then they wouldn't really be enlightened because they have a flaw and have to prove or become special to you, right?

if the someone is a friend, i am curious.

if not, i try to look as though i'm in a hurry and if that doesn't work, i will pinch one of my kids really hard and tell them we should talk when the babies aren't so fussy.

if i read the words in a book or magazine article, i would keep reading, but suspect that there wasn't going to be anything really new there.

First, I would be skeptical and consider that they must have a monumental ego. Second I would wonder, if true, how they did it. Third I would be a bit worried about them being a megalomaniac.

"Enlightened" people don't say that. They don't have to.
