I know you cant say ''yes you have panic attacks'' ''no you dont'' and that i need to see a doctor to get it confirmed but i was wondering if you could give me advice on weatehr it is worth going to doctors or if i would be wasting their time.

Well.. when i think about something i am really worried about or am dreading, i start to get out of breath. it makes me feel really sick and i get a deep feeling in my stomach. these feelings last about 20 mins to half an hour. the other day i thought about something i really didnt want to do and i got these feelings. i also get them when i think about/ go on the service bus on my own or if im walking through town on my own.

If you dont think they are panic attacks then do you have any suggestions of what they are?

Everyone's panic/anxiety attacks differ. But, for the most part they consist of : racing heart & racing thoughts, hands and feet may get numb, you may feel as if you're having a heart attack or dying, dry mouth, a feeling as if you are outside of your body looking down on yourself, an overall feeling of dread. I know my panic attacks are the worst things I have ever felt in my entire life. They get so bad that I called the ambulance once.
It sounds as if you suffer from isolated anxiety. You know what you're anxious about. Panic attacks usually occur for no reason. You may not even be nervous at all, about anything, and wham - you're having an attack. I would reccommend telling your doctor..you may qualify for a low dose of something like xanax (medication you take just when you're feeling panicky). goodluck to you.

No, doesn't sound as bad as a panic attack. You may be heading in that direction, but what you are describing is not a panic attack. Sounds more like anxiety which is completely different. You need to see your doctor to confirm this and maybe give you some beta blockers or something.
Good luck.

Oh i sympathise with you.I suffer with panic attacks, and anxiety attacks.I am not going to pretend i know the answers.I dont know if this will help but i had a terrible fear of flying, due to panicking and anxiety, this was the same in all my everyday life.I faced up to my fears and went on a fear of flying course,I was so glad i did.It taught me that my panicand anxiety was brought on by worring about what was going to happen more than it happening itself. like you i would sit there worrying and getting more and more anxious it brought the panic attack on.They are so overpowering you think you are never going to cope again, but you can.anytime you start getting anxious or worried ,its difficult at first, but try to take your mind of it,force yourself to think of other things.eg football or sport you like.Take a few deep breathes hold for a few seconds and it helps to calm you.Ihave a saying now, there a good guy in my head who wants to fight this and thers a bad guy who wants to keep you down-Dont let the bad guy win

I have the same problem but i get chest pains as well as your symptoms and have been told they are panic attacks. I started with one again today at work. Sometimes i think im having a heart attack and i have been to the hospital for them to tell me the same thing "im stressed" but im not!! The pain lasts for days and i get anxiety if im driving my car or out shopping which can last for a few hours but then i go back to normal.
Its a horrible feeling and im on the lookout for help as im new to this. As if life wasnt hard enough.

You are definitely suffering from anxiety of some level, panic attacks tend to be very intense and can last for a few minutes to much longer. Almost a condensed form of usual anxiety. Some people feel as though they are not in touch with reality for a while although it differes for everyone.

I think that is exactly what they are. I and my husband and a few people in my family have had them throughout the years. I would certainly go to the doctors. If you don't want medication, or think you may want to try another route to handle this you can contact a therapist and they can go over some other techniques such as breathing and visualization exercises to help you self calm. They work for some people but to not for others.

i dont really have an answer but i just wanted to thank you for asking because its making me question how i am, i also get like this, usually only when travelling, which when i think back could of been triggered by something i just try to keep my mind off it and take deep breaths when it happens and it seems to work ok, id recommend trying alternative options to drugs any day tho, hope my pointless answer in some way may have helped x

There are panic & aniexty attacks some are the same to some people but I get both, and it sounds like you are too. You should talk to your Dr. and he may be able to give you a anti-depressant to balance you out. (anti-depressants are not just for depression)
When these feelings do come over always breathe count 4 in hold it for count of 2 and blow it out. I say to myself in with the good, out with the bad it really helps to calm you down. Good Luck
