the diference is the size of the turbine Compressor a bigger as they only use two discs to push true the air wile axial flow uses varius discs to create a vortex of air I dont have any links but size and lengths, and discs are the main diferences they work pretty much in the same way

The british had a fasination with the centrifugal compressor - I beleive the engine was the Whittle - and it powered a twin boom small aircraft called the vampire or mosquito ..

put this in yer fusebox !
