You most likely can't. If it's your word vs a cop's than you'll most likely lose. Cops and judges are close.

but this does bring up an important point. Just because everyone else was going fast doesn't mean you can too, at least from a cop's point of view. If you were speeding and you got caught then take it on the chin.

Same thing happened to me, it's good to invest in a radar detector.

They can't catch all of you at the same time. They usually go after the "leader" or someone who stands out.

Your chances of beating it are: zip, zilch, and zero. You were speeding! If the cop doesn't show up to the hearing, you have a slightly better chance, but still, not good. You might as well just pay the ticket, go to traffic school, whatever; it's a much better use of your time.

Slim to none, it is never a good idea to plead the "I was only going the same speed as those around me."

Remember when you were a kid and one of your parents was questioning your actions by asking you if so and so jumped off of a bridge, would you do it also? This makes just about as much sense.

Own up to the fact that you were speeding, pay your fine and learn from it.

It is possible to beat many speeding tickets there are specialists in most countries, if you are in Australia call Scott Cooper who is an expert on speed issues of speedingfineconsultants.com. If you were in traffic then you may have a good chance

Your best hope is that the police officer cannot show up when it goes to trial. Other than that just because other cars are going the dame speed doesn't make it ok for you to speed(I know that sucks but thats what the judge will tell you). Usually they won't pick on one person if everyone is going the same speed unless you did something to make yourself stand out.

The chance of beating it is generally nil. The cops can choose any one of a number of speeders in any area. Since there is only one of them and several choices of speeders. I recieved a speeding ticket just after another vehicle passed be going even faster. I was the closest target so I was stopped. Hopefully he radioed ahead for another officer to catch the guy who flew past me.

It will probably cost my to beat it than pay it. You can show up and plead not guilty, you will then be given a court date, show up at the court date and if the officer doesn't make it the ticket is usually dismissed (in the interest of justice). If the officer shows up just change your plea to guilty.

Sorry buddy, you were the one singled out. Yes, technically the others deserved a ticket also, but you were the one stopped for exceeding the limit, so take your ticket, pay it, and learn a lesson.

They can only pull one person over at a time, and maybe you should have kept going with the flow until one of the other guys pulled over first. If you call one of those ticket lawyers, they'll hook you up so it doesn't go against your record and raise your insurance rates.
