a good friend had this surgery last summer and has lost about 100lbs and looks great. My question is, is she likely to gain it all back? I have heard that. She hasn't changed her eating habits and does not exercise-she just eats a lot less.

Sorry im writing on this question. This is the answer to the tanning lotion question but i accidently deleted my answer from it and now it wont let me repost it. And this is the only way i know i can get the answer to you.
------------------------------------

I use to do indoor tanning. But i want to look good and be healthy for a long time. & Of coarse Indoor tanning is horrible for your skin and skin cancer is hell-of-a-lot worse than not being tan. But when i did go tanning I used Australian Gold. Specifically "Hearts Desire". & i am telling you, it worked so good. A little too good at first, so i recommend using it in a bed for only a few minutes first time to know how it reacts with your skin because its pretty strong and easily burns you if you go in for too long. And be really sure not to miss any spots, depending on the missing amount and how much you put on will affect the look of it, but it will make you look like you put on a self tanner. This lotion will tan your skin right through the lotion and if theirs no lotion in a certain area it may turn out quite a bit lighter then the tanned area. You dont want that. But it depends on how you use it and how your skin will react. It can be pretty expensive. Around $40-$65 depending where you buy it but i bought a brand new bottle off ebay for only $18 dollars about a year ago and i have half the bottle left because i decided not to go anymore.

You Can go to ebay and type in "Australian Gold Desire" & get numerous prices that are mostly 1/2 to even more less than youll pay alot of other places, especially stores.Watch for the sample packs though if you dont want them. Ebay sells alot of those with the picture of the bottle on the auction. READ before you buy/bid. Always.

Heres a couple Buy It Now listings that i found to be cheapest.

I am a medical assistant. Here is the bad news. She would have to eat as much as an elephant to gain all that weight back. Right now her stomach is so small that she is not able to put that much food in her self now. What she needs to do and she has probley heard this before. Drink water and take her vitamins. She also needs to increase her fiber and protein. Fiber and protein will help her feel full. If she keeps on eating alot of fattning stuff her triglcirides and sugars and cholesterol will go up. A little dicipline would go along way for her. The most healthy weight loss program out there right now is weight watchers. That program works wonders. With weight watchers you can eat whatever you want but your given a certain amount of points that you can have a day. Tell her to check out a weight watchers program. It will explain it all to her. i feel sorry for her that she has had that surgery.

I know someone JUST like that. My niece had the surgery and lost about 150 lbs. She never changed her eating habits (can you say fried cheese?) and no exercise. She has gained back about 20 lbs.

Will your friend gain all her weight back? Seriously doubtful. Her stomach would rupture before she ever gained that much weight.

Sure you can gain it all back. If she keeps hammering away at the food the stomach will eventually get big again. But most of the time the reduced size forces you to change.

If she eats a lot less, that's a good sign. It's possible to gain it back; she should be careful.
