I would like to let my hair grow long. But it always breaks. So I was wondering if someone could tell me how to let my hair grow long without it breaking or becoming dry and brittle... there must be some trick to it :) Some of you guys said don't put it in clamps and stuff. I usually use a lose kind of clamb and tie the hair up because i heard hair breaks when it rubs on clothes... so what should I really be doing? :( Thanks so much guys! Laoise x

Start by getting a very good style and cut. Then apply conditioning products to your hair daily. Once a week apply a super conditioning agent or hair oil and place your hair in plastic wrap for 30 minutes. Then rinse and wash. Do not over style your hair or put barettes, pony tail holders or clamps in your hair. Make sure that all of your haircare products are free of alcohol which can dry your hair. Take a good quality multivitamin to give your hair the vitamins it needs.

Healthy hair should not break. You may want to take vitamins that are specifically formulated for hair and use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. A once a week hair mask will also help.
If you eat a healthy diet, your hair should be shinny and be able to grow without breaking.

My son started growing his last year during baseball season. now to his shoulders and cutting it today for baseball.. I tell him all the time.. "If you want it long take care of it." Don't yank on it with a comb. Use good conditioner and shampoo and like the other posts said. Trim it every six weeks, even though I think he went a little longer on the trims.

Condition, condition, condition. Every time I wash my hair I use conditioner. I haven't had a trim or cut in over 6 months and my hair looks great. No split ends, nothing.

Wrap ur hair in a silk scarf and/or sleep on a silk pillowcase. It will greatly reduce breakage. Sleep on a cotton pillowcase and see how much of ur hair is left on it when u wake up. Then sleep on a silk one and try and count how much hair is left on IT. U'll c a bigg difference.
