How can a human live 100 years, doing whatever, and DESERVE an eternity of ANYTHING?

I do not think it is our place as humans to decide whether another human deserves Heaven of Hell. We can WISH one of the two upon someone, but can't MAKE it happen. From my own personal point of view, I think I am going through enough Hell here on earth and I deserve Heaven.

I think that if we say we don't deserve heaven, we have to really mean it. In other words, this is something that by all rights should not be given to us at all. We stand guilty before the Lord, this is our condition. Nothing we can do merits Heaven. So why does anyone say that it's even offered? There is no reason to do so.

I believe we can deduce from this that heaven is not offered at all and is not something that we have an ability to accept. If we have reached this conclusion logically, then the only way that we can gain entrance into heaven is by grace freely given, but not accepted, as if we have any input. Not deserving Heaven makes Heaven is a true gift, received, no authorization necessary, only a reaction of repentance and joy. We don't deserve Heaven before, during, or after salvation, and THAT makes it a real gift. All God, no offer, no acceptance, no pride in ourselves, forgiven entirely because of grace.

And that means only one other destination that we do deserve, if God does not forgive. Hell. If the Bible says fire, I believe fire. If the Bible says eternity, I believe eternity. If we don't deserve Heaven, and we stand guilty before God, then what do we expect from our human condition? We really have to think about our perceived ability to accept, we don't have a way out of Hell if we deserve Hell.

So I'd say be careful when you think about what we really, really deserve. Or don't deserve. This kind of thinking puts me on my face before the Lord.

Well, I feel like people deserve what ever they want. I can personally say that I've never met or heard any person that deserves eternal suffering in the depths of hell. And whether or not anyone deserves heaven, I'm not sure that people would want it if they had it. On earth people only understand life as being composed of ups and downs, infinite goodness eventually would become the norm, and thus not be so heavenly anymore. It's not about what we deserve, it's about what we want.

Humans do not deserve heaven and eternal life, but that is a gift from God being offered to use if we repent and stay close to God and try to with His help life the best way.

You may realize this as most do not, that hell is only eternal in the sense that death brought on by hell fire is permanent or eternal. People will suffer in hell fire for their sins, but they will die and then cease to exist for all eternity. Humans for their sins due in fact deserve to be punished appropriatedly and then die. They do not deserve to be kept alive for all eternity being tortured in the fires of hell. That entire concept is from the pagan belief system and only found its way into early Christian churches as a way to control people and to turn people away from God, thinking He surely was not a God of love. It has been effective on both fronts, but is not found in the Bible if you read it carefully and read all the pertinent texts on the subject you will see that I am right.

Humans are neither good nor evil, most of them deserve a place in between heaven and hell. Some of the cruel humans, well you know what they deserve, and some of the intelligent humans that know but dont say, have a great reward.

It depends upon how you live the 100 years... Do children deserve to be killed in car wrecks, and do they deserve to get cancer??? I don't think anything is deserved, I think it is dealt or earned in some people's cases... Do you deserve an answer to this question, or are you desiring an answer??? We live as we see fit and it is not up to us to make the choice where we go when the time comes... Your life and its merits or wrongs decides that... Are you implying that only non-humans deserve this eternal decision???

Yes, all sinners deserve hell. None of us deserve Heaven. That's why God is so amazing his osn died on the cross for us, so that we could go to Heaven by taking our sins away.

No one deserves heaven, but Jesus died for our sins so we can go there. Why wouldn't anyone want an eternity in heaven? We deserve hell because of our sin, but thanks to Jesus shedding His blood, we get to inherit eternal life in heaven!
