No. I'm a Christian, but some of the most intriguing conversations that I have are with my atheist friends. If the atheists shut up, then I would lose an opportunity to learn about atheism and other non-Christian points of view.

It would actually help Christianity MUCH more if all the christians shut up and stopped spewing hatred, bigotry and prejudice at everyone.
At least that way christianity wouldn't be seen as the religion of impatience and hatred.

Only if all Christians would shut up and start actually living by the teachings of Christ, who BTW had very little to say about homosexuality and abortion

No, because atheists don't ask you to open your eyes, we don't have preachers telling us that we'll go to hell, we are free minds and not asking you to join, but we know with time there'll be more of us as more open their eyes.
And christians are trying to convince everyone that there is a god, and that there is a hell, but guess what...if the church doesn't use scare tactics, no one will step into the church.
When no one else believes, your god will simply die, your god's existence depends on the collective imagination the church has imposed on humanity with brain-washing through swords and fire.

The worst attacks against Christianity come from Christians when they are unloving, or arrogant. Because Christianity is not about that, and it fives a false picture of Christianity, which can easily be knowcked down.

Nah, nothing will help Christianity, simply because people are using these hunks of meat and electricity called their brains.. I know it's a scary concept, like fire, but you'll adapt.
