As a whole, we don't think we're better. Those who do think this believe in "Replacement Theology," which holds that the gentile Christian church replaced the Jews as God's chosen ones; thus, only the church inherits the promises made to Abraham. This is hogwash.
In fact, the Bible doesn't state that God esteems any of us over the other; He isn't a respecter of persons. The Jews are God's chosen people, but they are chosen for a specific purpose: to bring God's word into the world and to give birth to Jesus Christ, the world's Messiah.
Gentile Christians are "grafted in" to the "cultivated olive tree" of God's people; as such, we are God's children just as much as believing Jews were and are.
Christians who believe the Jews have been replaced "boast against the branches," in other words, are guilty of the sin of pride. Paul tells us in no uncertain terms these can be "cut off" if their pride is excessive. (Romans 11)

I don't know any Christians that think they are "better" than a Jew. If anything, we have a deep respect for them evidenced by our strong support of their nation. The bible clearly says that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." The Jews are God's chosen people. "Chosen" does not mean better or worse, just chosen for a specific plan. Christians are also chosen and adopted into the family through Jesus Christ. The question for you is whether or not you hear and receive God's calling.

Your assumption is just that and built on a faulty premise.
It is not a question of being better than anyone but there is a DEFINITE issue of right and wrong, good and evil which is clear and to the point.
Why do gays and people like you think you are above right and wrong. How did you become exempt?
Bottom line is there are small minds in all communities.
Just try to expand yours.
I would also suggest you follow the rules of Yahoo esp if you think your rightous enough to report others.

I think you have misunderstood the biblical hermeneutics of "chosen people".
As a people God chose the Jews so that His majesty and glory would be made manifest to the rest of the world. But, like all other peoples, they (the Jewish people) are held to the same standards that God holds all peoples to. For more information, see

Romans 3
No One is Righteous
9What shall we conclude then? Are we any better[b]? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one;
11there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
12All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one."[c]
13"Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit."[d]
"The poison of vipers is on their lips."[e]
14"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."[f]
15"Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16ruin and misery mark their ways,
17and the way of peace they do not know."[g]
18"There is no fear of God before their eyes."[h]

Why believers are too proud:
- They ignore God's intentions for the whole world regardless of race
- They think they have earned special favor with God by doing whatever
- They may be over proud of something that not everyone has like reasoning ability, owning something, good looks, "superior" ancestral roots.
Shouldn't it be a lifelong process to learn what this means, ''blessed are the meek"?
