We have formed a group called the arena board and we have fund raised 25,000 dollars in 4 months, the maintenance needed is way beyond that amount. the cost of insurance per year is 17,000 .
Our town is very small and we are very desperate in fighting to keep our remaining facilities alive and running for the future. If any more of our businesses, recreational or educational facilities close our town will die. We are trying to attract new members to join our board by having an event that is as similar to the amazing race as we can get . We are calling it the Next Best in hopes of attracting a younger demographic, (idea being that it can be fun educational and fulfilling to support all community endeavors by joining and helping) Our arena was built in 1975,it has a kitchen in need of upgrading, and all areas in need of major repair to make it more safe and efficient. We don't even have a proper office with a computer and web page which we think would help us advertise. please help.
