Its been about 7 days, it has no body and it is just flimsy; it wont hold a curl. Should I just go ahead and wash it? I know that when I blow dry it and flat iron it it will have more body...

Good lord, YES! Wash it. It sounds like you may be overprocessed though, so take it easy with the flat iron for a while, and find a good protein treatment to help rebuild it.

You can shampoo 48 hours after having the relaxer done. You needed to wait at least that long, for your hair to naturally neautralize itself. You were right about waiting to shampoo, cause you could have really messed the relaxer up, and your hair could have reverted back to curly.Also use a good moisturizing and hydrating conditioner.

Yeah if it feels like you need to wash it go ahead. It will not hurt you.

i'm getting my hair comfortable each and every couple of months. i frequently wait till the day after to bathe it. in simple terms have been given mine performed at present easily! in simple terms positioned on it returned the following day or braided and it will seem nice (:

You should have washed your hair right after giving yourself the perm...!! Then you can wash it whenever!!
