What are the Pro's and Con's of using the PRINCE 2, project management methodology. Where can i find more information on critically evaluating PRINCE 2 and it's uses in private and government based projects?

As an ISO9000 Lead Assessor I've never been a big fan of Prince 2. Prince in it's original form was aimed at IT projects. Prince 2 was introduced to broaden the scope to other types of project. From my perspective its weakness is in the lack of review ability. At any stage in a project it is important to know where you are going, where you are and where you have been.
