I am a victim of a recent hair butchering. I went in for a trim and left with a chop. Now that the tears have stopped, I am at a loss of what to use in my hair to make it look as good as possible. I haven't used anything in my hair for years and I cannot stand my hair being so stiff that I can't run my fingers through it. My hair is THICK and wavy and my scalp is sensitive apparently.... the recent use of mousse has caused dandruff. Yuck. The only way I can really wear it right now is all messed up. So I guess I want something that holds but isn't crunchy. I am product ignorant. Any suggestions?

First of all, you need to call the salon you went to and speak with manager. They should help you figure out what you need to use, Second of all, you better get a refund, Thirdly, They need to GIVE you the stuff to use in your hair while it is growing out.If they refuse, contact the owner and/ or customer service. As far as the dandruff goes, you should only be putting the product on the hairs, not on the scalp. Your stylist should show you about how much to use. Give and take each time you use it to get a feel of how much to use. Most salon bought items are extremly great, and better than store bought. It also don't take as much to use.
