Train him to:

1. come at your call
2. poo and pee in the toilet bowl
3. chase and fetch a ball of crumpled paper
4. walk with you wearing a harness or halter and leash
5. obey commands like "ay down," "sit down;" "No;""walk" etc.
6. sleep when you sleep at night
7. Keep off the kitchen counters and dining room table
8. not use the couch and other furnitures as scratching posts
9. not dash out the front and back doors
10. only step out of the front door or back door when invited by you
11. keep away from strangers (human and animal)

I hope you have loads of patience!

I taught Sophie to sit up and beg.

When she was a kitten, I noticed that she often sat up on her haunches just like a dog. Not unusual behavior for kittens, but it gave me the idea to train her to do it.

I don't recall how I managed it, but now when I give her a treat I'll hold it over her head and say "beg!" She knows to sit up and then she gets her treat.

She's so adorable - she looks like a little bunny rabbit when she does it.

She's a Snowshoe, which is part Siamese.

i had a cat that i took everywhere with me, he was leash trained and great in the car. i used to take him hiking with me! he LOVED it, he would pull at the leash like a dog does. we hiked up a mountain once (got to be sure to bring water & food of course). and he even went to the river with me and went swimming! lol. everyone thought it was nuts!

and i have a cat now that fetches, but she just did it on her own. i threw the wad of paper to the other side of the room so she'd play over there and she brought it right back and dropped it at my feet & meowed until i threw it again

i have another cat that i can get to walk on his hind legs for a toy or treat.

my friend had a cat that she taught to jump up onto her shoulder without using any claws. (he did it to me once when i wasn't looking & he almost fell! i barely caught him in time). that cat also opened drawers & cabinets all the time

I am a cat lover. I have two of them. They are wonderful animals, but it is very hard to teach them anything: not because they are stupid, on the contrary, but because they are very much independent (mine are also spoiled). So do not worry if you cannot teach them tricks, but be prepared to receive some lessons from them. Good Luck

My uncle has a cat that fetches and brings it back to you. It doesn't matter what it is a little piece of paper or even a cigarette pack. It even sits up like a dog and begs like one.

I taught considered one of my mum and dad cats to take a seat down. I in basic terms did it the comparable way i might a canines. I held a handle in front of his mouth and pushed down on his butt collectively as asserting take a seat. the weird and wonderful ingredient grow to be, i ought to apply peas for treats. that distinctive cat grow to be very human beings orientated. yet another theory is to declare your command whilst they're doing a habit you desire. This works decently with a habit they do of course with some frequency. After a collectively as they are going to associate the command with the action. compliment them whilst they do the action whilst commanded. I knowledgeable my cat to nuzzle my face on command this way. I say "kisses" and in many circumstances he will rub his cheek against mine, yet he must be in an affectionate temper. some cats in basic terms are not going to be as consistent as canines, in spite of the undeniable fact that it extremely is exciting attempting. solid success.

You could train it to use the toilet instead of the litterbox. Or my cats love the craft pom pom balls and will do anything for one. You can teach them to touch something to get the ball.
