I have been on Cymbalta for several months. I do not drink very often at all, so I pretty much forgot about the warnings. I did go out to dinner one evening with a very large group of people one evening. I ordered a drink and then when I finished it, the waitress just brought me another. I drank that too without thinking about it. I did not think about my medication until the next day. I did not have any ill effects from it. Luckily I was not driving though.

I would read the warnings very carefully on the prescription.

By the way, how is the Cymbalta working for you? It was great the first couple of months, but there has been no continued improvement for me.

I was on 60mg of Cymbatla and I lived the normal college life of drinkin and smoking pot. They say you shouldn't drink when on meds, but when I did, nothing happened. UNLESS you decide to drink a whole bunch and get alcohol poisoning.

Just depends on how much you drink.... The reason they don't want you drinking and taking prescriptions mainly is because it effects your liver & kidneys.Too much is bad. It does not hurt to drink a small glass of wine once in awhile<<< you did read that right? ONCE IN AWHILE...Just dont get stupid. And always know how the drug effects you before you drink. NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE..............
