I've been overweight for almost 2 years now, and instead of getting better, i get worse. I have prom coming up in about 3 months and I still can't lose the weight, any reason why?

You can't look at something as a diet. A diet only indicates a quick fix to a problem. Instead, start keeping track of what you eat in a journal. Don't worry about calories - just focus on the foods you eat. After a week, take a look at your journal and place the foods you eat in different divisions: breads/grains, meats, fruits vegetables, etc... once you do that, make an effort to increase categories where you are lacking and decreasing categories where you are in excess. This helps build a healthy lifestyle, which is much better than a diet. Just think, you could lose two pounds in a month by eliminating sugary drinks from your diet. And you have to excercise. Walk for 30 minutes four days a week. In six weeks you, and everyone else, will notice a difference.

It is more then just dieting it is a whole life change. You have to exercise and not eat so much. You have to change to way you look at food and realize what your goal is and stay with it.

GAIN SELF CONTROL- or just don't eat!!! LOL! Diet pills are bad so don't use them. If you exercise for just 15 mins. it is like exercercising for 2 hours and you heart rate goes up as well as you metolism so just exercise.

you and me both!!!!!

Lack of discipline...other food tastes better...we're human. Good stuff for the body lacks taste...its killing me. I want chicken so bad. I'm envisioning my plums as a wing as I take a bite. How awful is that?!?!?!

Good luck!
