Because survival of human race depends on that, If earth temperature still going up more Ice will melt and our reserves of water will drop considerably.
If industries continue polluting the atmophere with greenhouse gas and other toxics, the hole in Ozone layer wil grow more than we have it now so the risk of cancer and other deseases will grow.

Its top priority because I want my child and other peoples' children to have a future. I believe it is an extremely dangerous time for us all. People are so sure that global warming isn't dangerous. They are gambling the fate of us all. How dare them not look for themselves to see if the others really might be greedy liars. Look around you. If you are in your forties look at old postcards and the new ones of your vacation spots. Even people who live in remote areas that have never been to school or college know that something is up. I would rather go through an economic depression if that's what it would take than go through famine or "resource wars" which is a possible reality - fighting for water or uncontaminated land or food.

No such thing as global warming. If there is a hole in the ozone why don't all the gases go out. Back in the 70's there was an article in Time that said the oceans will overflow in 10 years. Didn't happen.

It is not a top priority for me because one individual just CANNOT do anything about it... I don't care if you plant trees, drive a Prius, use environmentally safe products, you think you're making a difference but you're not... This is a [potential] problem that needs to be dealt with by world leaders and world cooperation, like from CHINA one of the biggest contributors to the problem, if any...

Even if the whole world participates in trying to make a difference, there's no guarantee that it WILL solve the problem... and there's not proof that we are headed for problems anyway...

it is not a top priority to me. but within my lifetime, the effects of global warming will cause many human deaths, extinction of several species of animal, the disappearance of the coastline of most countries and the possible eradication of low lying countries like the Netherlands

Perhaps we should all raise it in our priorities

I feel that global watming should be addressed because I feel it's important. Since I can't stop the war, poverty, or ignorance, I can help the environment.

Global warming can not only affect nature, but us to with floods, deaths and pollution.

It has not been proven that global warming is human-caused.
Global warming AND cooling are both naturally-occurring phenomena here on earth.....and have been for millions of years.
Who are we - to think we could actually contribute to, or control the cycles of earth???

No.

While I believe that global warming is happening, I do not believe it is caused by man, nor can it be corrected by us. And so I live my life, not worrying about it.

I subscribe to the theories of Habibullo Abdusamatov regarding global warming. That it is caused by solar activity, not CO2.

Grow up and quit being brainwashed by a fool like Al Gore who flys all over the world in private carbon burning jets telling sheep like you to get rid of your SUV.
