I learned it the hard way... but why is it when you are really nice to a girl (buying her flowers, showering her with gifts and compliements) they get tired of you and dont respect you. But if you are a total jerk - forget her birthday, flirt with other women, get arrested for being drunk, put her down, etc. they can't get enough of that?! I think its messed up, but I am being really bad to them now and it works great...

Because it is about chase. If you are not chasing a man and try to keep impressing him, keep tryin hard to win his heart and love then thats the point stayin with someone who is like a puppet running after you, doing everything you ask, and never deny you anything forgetting about himself and his needs. Females tend to lose interested in those kinds.
Not like they going for total jerks but they go for a chase. Its like you know when you dating someone who dont have any idea whether they like you or maybe not so you trying hard to please that person. You go get your hair, nails done, get nice victoria secrets stuff, try always to look your best, etc. All that is exciting, plus if you do it for someone not just for yourself it have even more meaning to it. Of course there are more other reasons why females go for not perfectly nice guys.

There are some of us that like good treatment. I am in same situation but roll reversed.
I am working 48-60 hrs per week. My husband works 32. I am a fuel truck driver he is a grill cook. When we have a day off he sleeps all day. Never washes a dish, sometimes washes a few clothes. I have found him on internet with women while I was working all night trying to pay bills. The bills I had when we were married are not getting paid. All of the bills are in a mess. He talks to me terrible most of the time.
I am good to him. We have only been married a year. He said that I would not have to work much. HA! That is all I have done. I am not bad looking, I have a good personallity
and enjoy life. He does not appreciate this and it hurts.
I will not change even though he is a jerk, I love him , but this is no way to live.
Don't you change either, someone whom deserves you wil come along someday!

It's not about being a jerk, more about being confident, fun, adventurous, and a challenge.
The nice guy that buys her gifts, gives her compliments, etc, is boring and subtly telling her that he would crawl naked acrossed a mile of hot coals to be seen with her. Another problem with the nice guy is that he is afraid to make moves on her, because again, he does not have any confidence.
The "jerk" shows her he likes her but he could take or leave her. He is a challenge. He is fun. Doesn't talk about himself much. You can get girls without being the jerk, just be a fun, challenging, confident MAN, because the jerk thing only works for the short term. They will only put up with it for so long.
Another thing about the bad boys ( I kinda am but am also good too) is that she wants to see if she can tame him. Little by little she will try to change him.
90% of the game is confidence.

Because most girls are lying when they tell you they just want a guy with a good personality and a sense of humor. Nature doesn't work that way. Watch what girls do and stop listening to what they say. You'll get much better advice from a guy who has had success with women than from women, themselves. So, go find a guy like that and listen attentively.

SNAP! the exact the same has happened to me recently. I had been trying too hard with this amazing girl for ages and it was getting me nowhere, so I decided to change tactics. She's now beginning to change her mind about me and when she says 'your mean' or 'your not nice' I smile, because when she wasn't interested she said the opposite like 'I like you as a friend' or 'your so nice'. I guess the old cliches 'play hard to get' and 'treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen' work!

most girls are into bad guys. if a guy is too nice its a turn off for them. me on the other hand i love a guy who is super nice but than i am a woman not a girl.
