I use my computer more when I am depressed. I get lost on a game or answering questions or go learn something new off the web.
Not only can I go within myself and analyze my thoughts & emothions but to escape reality at the same time. It is either my computer to clean out a draw or clean the closet or rearange things. Variety is helps to keep me out of the dull drums. I do have days when I just waller in my own self pity but that is not healthy and I know it so I soon stop and try to look at what is in front of me. Yesterdays don't count and tomorrows are too far away to do any good today. So I focus on little job here and there, just to keep my mind busy. It is a must when one suffers from depression.

You need to take a step back and re-evaluate your life. If your not happy you need to sit down and change what you're not happy about. Its so much easier said than done but mental health effects your physical health and it is unhealthy to feel the way you feel. I recently had a seizure because of stress and when i came to I had amnesia. I'm 20 yrs old and remember nothing before the day of my seizure and it sucks. had i taken the opportunity to get help before it was too late i wouldnt be in this situation. Find someone you can talk to that can help you get back on track, and that will encourage you to do right. If you can't find anyone try a life coach. life coaches are much better than therapists in my opinion. good luck and stay healthy

You don't say what your situation is like. Are you truly deprived, or are you just whining? The saying "count your blessings" may seem trite, but consider people who are worse off than you. Poor, hungry, homeless, crippled, sick with long term illness. If you have good health, you have a chance to get away from your present circumstances.
Stress, and depression that arises from it, are caused by the inablity to change your situation. People who have high-stress jobs are the ones who aren't allowed to make any decisions to fix the problems that confront them. The executive responsible for major decisions is less stressed, because he/she CAN make the decisions, right or wrong. Being able to make the decision is the important thing.
Make a list of what you want to do to change your circumstances. Then make a list of what you have to do to get there. Do you want more money? What type of job will get you that? What type of training/school do you need to get that job? There may be no quick way to get what you want, but you have to plan and persevere to achieve.

Be sure to make time for yourself. Schedule it into your day and make sure that nothing gets in the way of this. Treat yourself to a movie, go to the gym (this works great to get rid of stress), pick up a new hobby. There is a great book called Unleash the Warrior Within by Richard J. Machowicz which changed my life. Give these things a try and don't give up!

I try to minimize other things in life that cause unnecessary stress. Once I've minimized my stress to the lowest possible level, I try to take a day off. Take a day off of work and don't tell any of your friends or family. Go shopping or just sleep and relax all day. Turn off your phone. You need some time to yourself. Don't feel bad about puting your needs first for a day.

I totally know how u feel. Best to do, try to relax, and approach situations one by one. But most importantly, decide what is more important, cuz there are some things that are not even so "big" and you might feel like they are when they're really not. Lastly, always follow your heart and dont be afraid to say no.

I eat whatever's missing from my diet. When I feel depressed, I'll eat some complex carbs like whole grains or oatmeal. When I feel overwhelmed and hopeless, I eat something fatty like nuts or a salad with a lot of olive oil. Or sometimes both: oatmeal with heavy cream and nuts. I usually feel better within an hour.
If you eat a lot of sugary foods, you'll probably end up feeling that everyone is dumping on you, hopeless, depressed and burdened. Sugar sensitive people have bad mood dips.
Take care of yourself.
