This question brings to mind the ministry of Johanna Southcott in England, in the eighteenth century. She announced that she was pregnant with the new messiah who was going to rule in place of the King of England. The dumb fundamentalists went crazy (what else is new) and prepared for the Second Coming. This means that they threw out the window all their money with the image of the King on it, since they said it will all be worthless when the new King comes to reign over his kingdom. It seems to me that the smart people of the time would have been those who may have walked around the streets of London scooping up all the money thrown out the window by the True Believers.

The point is well taken, and could be applied to SO many things...
If your faith can heal you, why go to the doctor?
If god takes care of the faithful, why go to work to have money?
Jesus told his followers to shed their worldly belongings, why do you own a house, car, tv, etc.?
Most christians talk a good game but don't follow it up by actions in any way. And since their own book tells us "by their works shall ye know them," what I know from their works is blatant hypocrisy.
Peace.

Jesus said to give to the needy, which precludes the greedy and lazy, such as yourself. By the way, your idle words have been registered in Heaven in accordance with Jesus' words in Matthew 12: 36-37

christ is not coming back soon, once you are dead you are dead.If he is was coming back to save us why does he wait for the world to be in such a hateful mess.No god would be so cruel as to let his people suffer like this, there you have it proof that there is no god gonna save anyone,We live then we die

As a Christian, I would like to second this question and also ask that those who know that the coming of Christ will happen before this generation passes away or sooner to please email me about transferring their savings asap.
(For the Christians who are ignorant of their Fathers word I present them the following. Notice in my post I said those who "know." It is impossible to know. Christ said that his second coming would be like a thief in the night and that in his human condition he did not know the day or the hour, but only the Father.)
(If you are Christian and know the day or hour when Christ will return, please go stone yourself now, because you speak blasphemy and are adding to your Fathers word.)

I have a better idea.
Since you obviously don't believe in God, why don't you gather up all those bits of ugly paper with that Name on it...and send them to a PO box I'll give you.
I promise to take good care of them, since I love the Name of God!!

Even if Christ existed (we will argue existance another time) and came back, he will not come back to slaughter mankind. Therfore a person will still need his/her savings regardless of inherant faith. (smartass)

I'm not a believer, but even I know that faith is not synonymous with stupidity.
