Indeed I do, sir. I am a scientist (Ph.D.) and a trained theologian.

The best of scientists that have left us with the most credible theories we have at our disposal were Christians. The best of the science that you rely on have as its origin from christian thinkers.
Yes, we definitely know what scientific knowledge is! In case you don't - it involves formation of hypothesis, observation, experimentation, analysis of data, Interpretation of data and drawing conclusions based on repeated controlled experiment.
Unfortunately, you can't do that with the existence of God. You can't use scientific method to prove that Jesus existed, was born of a virgin woman, lived a sinless life, died a painful death and rose again the third day. Scientific method does not apply in such conditions, simply because there is no way of repeat these events in a controlled environment. Just as it be can't scientifically proven that you visited your neighbor yesterday, or you had breakfast this morning or you had a history lesson today - so too is the case here. This does not mean we just accept such things blindly. A different method has to be employed. In this case we make use of the historical method.
Do you know what the historical method is?

Clearly those who think there is such a thing as a "creation scientist" has no understanding of how science works. That may not be every christian (less likely the rational ones) but there is a surprising number who believe such nonsense is science.
"Creation science" is nothing more than people trying to find gaps in scientific knowledge and stuff god into them, saying "Science can't explain this particular thing yet, therefore it's designed by our god!" Obviously it's ridiculous (but their rhetoric is far more persuasive.. what I just offered is what they're saying broken down into real terms). The thing is that god can not be proven or disproved, the god hypothesis is not falsifiable so it is not science.

Many Christians know what the scientific method is and exactly how it works. They just choose not to apply it to matters of faith. Skeptics like myself apply it to everything including our girlfriends. That is why I'm single.

The scientific method obviously is based on theories that scientists come up with not based on any evidence. Science teaches that the universe was created from a random spark without a cause and that life on earth came about from random combinations of chemicals without a cause. None of this is observed or based on any provable fact. Scientists have more faith than Christians.

Obviously not.
But to hedge: some "Christians" may know what the scientific method is, but they insist that "spiritual" matters lie outside its bounds.
On the other hand, those "Christians" who make statements like this: "Have they changed the definition of it to fit it around the theory of evolution?" clearly have no grasp whatsoever either of science OR spirituality. For them the latter means blind acceptance of dogma, which the former threatens to expose as backwards and imbecile.

How about the observation, investigation and explanation of phenomena?
Or, in more practical terms:
Observe what happens.
Form a theory.
Test the theory.
See if predictions come true.
What would be your personally twisted, corrupt, selfish definition?
