It is impossible for God not to exist.
One needs to have a formalized understanding of logic and philosphy to understand the topic of God's existence. Here is a starting point:
Premise: Every event has a cause
Premise: The universe has a beginning
Premise: All beginnings involve an event
Inference: This implies that the beginning of the universe involved an event
Inference: Therefore the beginning of the universe had a cause
Conclusion: The universe had a cause
For something to have caused the universe it must have existed outside of the universe and time. That First Cause could only have been an omnipotent supernatural agent, God.
Another argument is one from design:
1. The universe began to exist
2. The universe has complexity, order and fine-tuning
3. Complexity, order and fine-tuning imply design
4. Design that began to exist implies a designer
5. Therefore, the universe has a designer
Premise 1: See Big Bang theorem (Hawking, Penrose) All matter and time itself began at this moment
Premise 2: Universe has complex designs, e.g, cellular DNA, Laws of Physics, fine-tuning for life on earth, etc.
Premise 3: Nothing ordered can come from chaos, an orderer is required. Laws of Nature are often cited, including Vuletic, as counterexamples, yet these very Laws are themselves ordered.
Premise 4: Self evident. If something did not exist, there is no beginner or designer
Thus, the universe has a designer, God.

Well I would covet big time! Wouldn't do anything overt as the non-existence of God would have no effect on the Many Many Commandments of Marc P's wife!
At least Moses had the courtesy to write his down! I usually find out I've violated one of her commandments after the fact!

I know your question is hypothetical - but even so, for me to even consider that possibility sets pace for doubt. Its not possible for me to doubt God's existence.
It is more plausible perhaps to ponder whether one's religious direction is in true tune with God.., but - there are too many things on and in this world that cant be explained by science. Science itself has no answers to these things. Supernatural phenomenon that while not scientifically proven, cant be explained either.
Your question implies that if we should discover God is not real, that we should mediately have a need to violate the principles in the commandments.., like maybe you expect people to start killing, raping and lusting after his neighbors wife or something.
Whether a person believes in God or not - should there not be a morality code that keeps people in check so that we all can live in relative peace with each other? Freedom does not mean one should do anything he or she wants despite his fellow human beings. The Bible says all things are lawful, but not all things are expedient, and goes on to speak on respecting others and their rights.
and so... if morality is wrong and immorality isn't - I don't want to be right.

If God did not exist there are many commandments I would not worry about. For example, the one about giving a tithing to the Church.
In general, I don't think it would change my basic nature about things, but there are things you do specifically because you know God is there, you love him, so you want to do what he has asked of you.

I would not violate any of them (or at least strive not to) as I also have a personal obligation to myself to better myself. We as human beings are in constant need of some kind of guidance. If God did not exist, the commandments would not either, would they?

Wow, Ask Mr. Religion can quote Thomas Aquinas.
Pity all of Aquinas's proofs have been shown to be flawed. So much for a 'formal understanding of logic'.
And people pay this dude for answers???

THINK BEFORE YOU ASK A CRAZY QUESTION TO STIR PEOPLES EMOTIONS IF THERE WAS NO GOD THERE WOULD BE NO TEN COMMANDMENTS YOU COULD DO WHAT EVER YOU WANTED TO DO JUST AS YOU DO NOW I TAKE IT YOU DO NOT THINK GOD EXIST SO YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT ANYWAY OR DO YOU?

The same ones they violate now. Only they'd just quit pretending that they don't.
