Yes. Pascal's Wager is wrong. What is immoral is that somebody has instilled fear into you. That is immoral and just plain wrong. Figure things out for yourself. Nobody knows anything when it comes to the supernatural.

Not at all, i believe that most people go to Churches for that reason as well but that should not be the only reason. Being a good Christian and staying in God's path will also help you enjoy your human life also. Don't think SO far of next life, being a good person you will enjoy your current human life. Keeping in touch with God brings personal peace. For me Church is where i rest myself from the busy week, a place where I can both listen to myself and God. Have a time to recheck myself and my actions during the pass week. Umm....Hope this makes you feel better, Good Day.

Going to church out fear will not keep you from "going to hell". Rather, that will put you in the very place you were trying to avoid. Classifying yourself as a christian will not keep you from going to hell either. Being a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as the son of the one true God and asking for his gracious forgiveness will save you from that fate alone. It is something you have to mean.
The Bible teaches us that "people will worship with their mouths but not their hearts".

Song of Songs says that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." I would say that's perfectly fine. I think it's more satisfying to come from a belief that, this is what you truly want and need as a person, that loving God and your fellow man is the only way to be truly satisfied and happy. I tend to focus on the fact that if I just make friends with God, who owns everything, and who knows what I want more than I do, then it's just a matter of time before he makes me happier than I ever knew was possible.

well the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Proverbs 1:7), If you believe in hell and you fear it obviously you believe in Heaven and that if you follow what God commands us to do you will have entrace to heaven.
I dont think that is immoral, its having fear of God, you must worship him as well, because going to church is not being Christian, just like being in a Garage doesnt make you a car.

not immoral, but not what its there for. think of god as your father, you can talk to him about anything and ask for help whenever you need it, even if you are just lost and driving around, you dont need any special ceremonies to be close to god. going to church should help renew your faith after a week of treading just above the water.
god doesnt want you to go to church so he can meet a quota or make money, god wants you to go to church so that you dont feel alone, and so you dont forget him. its like going to a family reunion.

It's not wrong as long as that is just a starting point for you. You should be working towards having real faith in Jesus Christ. Learn all you can about Him and what He wants you to do with your life. as you work in this direction, your fear of God will quickly turn into a love of God.

No it's not immoral but I think as you learn more about Jesus and develop a relationship with him, your reasons for being a Christian will increase.

Since there is no way anybody can avoid hell (good or bad) it seems a poor reason to be christian.
Selfish as well.
Hell is the grave ....6 feet under. No fire.
We all go there.

Yes.
Who would want to worhip a god who will only love you if you fear him?
Love and fear do not go hand in hand.
How do you know god would not be angry at people who chose to believe for personal gain? If God is omniscient, he will certainly know who really believes and who believes to avoid hell. He will spurn the latter.
