In Switzerland there have recently some credit cards been brought on the market, which are absolutely free. I'm not sure whether one can get one of those with 16 years or whether you've got to be 18, but you must be able to prove that you have a regular income. This will be the same all over the world.
But I think there must be possibilities to trade on ebay without a credit card. I do it on a similar platform like ebay and have never used a credit card so far. Use a bank account.

Im not sure what the laws are in Europe so this may not help you. If you open a checking account at your local bank they will give you an atm/debit card. It works just like a visa or mastercard. the websites don't know the difference and it'll only allow you to spend money that you have on hand so thats how. Oh and you can also open a paypal account with it too. Then you can add money from your bank into the paypal ccount and use it to pay the fees at ebay. if you put money into the paypal account they will also issue you a debit/atm card too. People like to pay their ebay auction stuff through paypal also so then you can get the money you made from the auction put directly into the bank account that you have registewred with paypal. Its better then waiting for checks to arrive and it cuts out a lot of crap too.
PAYPAL will give the card to you with no credit check and it is good at all atms and businesses just like a credit card.
Oh and most banks require very little money to open an inital checking account and some savings account require 20 dollars to open. this is the way to go. Also there are NO interest fees if you use the debit card as a credit card. Interest rates kill the users. its money that you DO NOT have to spend. Credit cards are death traps. they are NOT necessary in the digital age. With so many different options open to consumers using a credit card is just a really bad Idea. you have to pay someone to spend your money. If you can't buy it with cash then don't buy it. Only use a credit card in an emergency

You don't need a credit card. Just open a savings account and ask for a debit card.

PS offering best answer is point-gaming and that's a violation.

You can get a pre-paid mastercard even if you are 16 years old. Just go on mastercard.com to get more info! or you can search sellers that accept money orders and cheques.
