WE DO NOT WANT THE NUCLEAR WASTE DUMP HERE IN NEVADA.
The desert is not only our home but the home to many animals including the coyote, many snakes, rabbits, bobcats, mountain lions, quail, and more.
Deserts are not just wastelands. Come to Nevada and see the desert. You will see it bursting with life: animals, wildflowers, cactus, joshua trees and more. This is the fastest growing area in the US right now. People are moving from Cities in the East and Mid-West to the deserts of the West and So. West. Why?
This is the best year-round climate for your health and there is less air polution and stress from over-crowding.
Nevada has done its share for Science back in the 1960's with the Nuclear Bomb testing in the desert north of Vegas. Many people are still suffering the consequences of our governement in towns and cites up wind of this area. The poluted air poluted the soil also for years to come in Nevada, Utah, and Idaho. To this day, when the wind blows the resident breathe in chemicals in their soil. And it polluted the stream beds too. Many people over the years have developed cancer from this fallout.

We do not want the nuclear waste of the US. Do you want it in your state? Right now it is spread out around the US not concentrated in one area. We need to find ways to rid our country of this polution. Ship it to a remote island or blast it into orbit. I dont care just dont send it here. We value our beautiful desert and all its creatures. I invite you to come visit and see for yourself the wonder in the desert.

you are crazy
we live in a closed system a colection of ecosytems dimensionall within one another if you contaminate desserts ,it will eventually ,and taking into account continuous airflows ,come back and contamoinate us
they have found polution on the north pole that came from New York by the scientists reckoning.

desserts are good for movies and if possible should be worked for regrowth ,but in most cases this is next to impossible
although there has been some succes in the sahara
and also in Arizona ,and Israel .so it is possible sometimes ,with a lot of ingenuity and effort

read Bill Mollisons designers Manual-the chapter on Dryland strategy ,lots of points on how to reverse desertification
