Are you asking how to physically rescue a stray in your area? Safety to yourself is the most important thing to remember. Call local animal control or humane groups for professional assistance in catching a stray please. If you would like to rescue an animal who has already been caught and cleared for temperament and medical issues you can find many dogs looking for homes through your local humane groups and petfinder.com
