Take Job for example, God has no problem with Satan making his life a living hell, and why, to test Job's faith. Now why would God let an angel continually test and deceive his loved creations? To see how strong our faith is, why couldn't he just do that himself? Unless he is doing it himself, making God Satan.

Now I know in the Bible it seperates God and Satan (lucifer) but maybe that too is part of God's plan. I mean there's a lot God never told us, why can't this be another thing, I mean it makes as much sense as letting Satan spread sin throughout the world doesn't it?

Well the Bible uses the names interchangeably

II SAMUEL 24: And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

I CHRONICLES 21: And SATAN stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.

Never, I believe God and His Word and would never twist His Word like this. I guess I do fear the One who has Supreme control over everything and everyone(God). Besides, if you continue to be confused about the difference while on earth, it WILL be VERY CLEAR to you when GOD judges you, you will be SEPARATED from God, but will end up in Hell with SATAN. People who do not understand the Bible think it's foolish as stated in the Bible. But remember, just because YOU don't understand something, has no bearing on it's validity. Study the Word, find out what these stories mean. When I was younger, I heard the stories, but not until I did my own reading and studying the Bible, did I understand them. BIG difference.

No I have not thought that. God and Satan are two seperate beings. Not the same person. God is God, Satan is Lucifer, the devil, who was once the most beautiful angel in Heaven. But he thought himself like God and wanted the angels to follow him not God. So one third of the angels fell and were cast out of heaven.
Also your thinking is flawed. God was here forever, Satan was created AFTER God made Heaven and Earth. So they are two seperate beings.

You mean kinda like the yin and yan.
Yeah, that thought has crossed my mind a lot, and evolved into many new theories about GOD and satan.

can I pose a question to kenny,
how can a being with a good heart ( even if it was at a past point in time) be PURE evil
Purity implies that you have never been anything but.
And Satan wasn't ALWAYS the devil. He was an arch angel, so he can't be PURE evil.

Hey Miss Avatard;

nicely...God and devil are not at all interior an similar position jointly interior the Bible. I advise yeah, God is reliable, devil is evil. yet Jekyll became reliable too. look how evil Hyde became. We ought to probable be coping with a case of theological dissociative identity affliction or a celestial different personality affliction. imagine about it. If God is all helpful--couldn't he in simple terms snap his hands and smash his archenemy? yet he would not. Its "in his plan" and he's "operating in mysterious recommendations." yet what a unusual schematic for the finest plan. I advise, conserving the life of the only nemesis to mankind? there is clearly some thing deeper in this subject. Why else save alive the very catalyst of doomsday if no longer to guard oneself? for sure, we do not comprehend the quantity of this idea. Is it some psychological situation like in "wrestle club?" Or basically a try for guy's moral status? or maybe they do in simple terms not exist?

Allowing things to happen and causing them to happen sound similar, but they're not. Ya, its not a pretty story, but as you seen in the end, job is blessed even more than before. It was done and written for our encouragement through hard times. Job understood, why can't we? "He said,
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
And naked I shall return there
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the LORD."
Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.

If he wasn't mad, what right do you have?

And to Nolte, any fool can take scripture out of context.

The third guy to answer this question brought up an interesting point, but Satan is completely 100% evil, everything about himm. But god is loving and holy. I know that they use the two names in the same passage but i dont understand the passage completely. I would not even let that thought enter my mind and you shouldnt either. God loves us and the devil wants to corrupt our faith in Jesus. Good and evil can not work together.
