I'm not trying to anger anyone.. I'm just looking for some feedback to the thoughts of people more knowledgable than myself in Christianity and Judaism on this article I read earlier.

I think you'll find that I don't post in the religious section.. I use politics as my stomping ground.. if this is a common theme then you don't have to answer.. but I don't consider "oh God enough" intelligent feedback.. I'm interested and looking for thoughts and info that I know I don't have.

you'll also notice it talks about evidence they had a son.. if you read the article.. it's not just about the tomb or mary ... moreso it points towards the humanity of Jesus..

Hi PIP,

Welcome to R&S.

The documentary will be on the Discovery channel on March 4. The claim that they found 10 ossuaries including those of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and their son Judah. They were discovered in 1980. That is 27 years ago but they were determined to have nothing to do with Christ and this is why no one has heard of them. Now someone realized that because of the DaVinci Code that they could make a lot of money exploiting this. The tomb they were found in was no where in the area that Christ was crucified or laid in a tomb. Jesus, James, and Mary (though English translations) were extremely common back then. I once saw in a museum an ossuary on display that read in Aramaic 'Jesus son of Joseph'. They didn't try and claim that it belonged to Christ because they knew it wasn't. If your name is John does that mean 2000 years from now ever tombstone with the name John on it must of been your grave, of course not and that is what they are trying to pull off.

The Bible teaches that Jesus resurrected and ascended to Heaven. There will be physical signs of Him until His second coming (not the rapture) when the entire world shall see Him physically return.

as a jew, any new or old info on jesus is just a little too much jesus for me. as far as getting more insight into how the other people on here feel about the tomb, do a search on y/a for the other questions on the subject, there have been quite a few lately, and the atheists and christians both have gotten pretty worked up about the subject.

take care

In my opinion, whether it matters or not, is that while Jesus was on this earth, he was human. He dealt with everything that we humans have to endure (except Literati being down!). He had temptations just like us.

In the Bible, after being dead for 3 days, he arose from the dead, a little while later, he assended into Heaven. I believe this.

Now, I also believe/know that everything that happened back then didn't make it into the Bible. I think God spoke (with the help of the Holy Spirit) through the men that wrote the books of the Bible. The mention of Jesus having a son, is not mentioned. This doesn't mean that it didn't happen. To me it means that since it isn't in the Bible, it doesn't matter whether it happened or not. It isn't important for me to know this information. My salvation isn't hanging on this information

Well the remains of Jesus had to be found somewhere. He was a human after all, so it's possible that those remains are His. I believe in God but I believe in science as well.

About the son, why not? If the prove can conclude that...The Bible doesn't contain everything happened in that time but what people chose to put into it...

This is a Spiritual mystery not revealed to "just anyone" and you are not the one. Infusion of a child of God (Jesus, God, Holy Spirit) comes through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Why do so many people see only with their physical eyes ???

Jesus Is Alive and any findings they think different is false. Jesus died for three days and arose again after that. As far as Jesus had a child. Not biblical at all. I pray for this world it just goes to show you God is coming so soon.
