As a whole, christians do not generally hate gay people. The behavior is frowned upon because the sanctity of marriage being divinly inspired by God between man and woman originally. Christians do not agree with this practice of the same sex marriage because it defiles what God originally intended. With that being said, true believers in Christ should not judge anyone else based on their lifestyle for it is not our place to pass judgement on anyone. That right is for God, our Creator, alone.

as far a Christians go most are great people, you have to watch for the right wing Christians. and I've noticed that through history the have pick a hand full of people tried to destroy found that allot of people ignore them and get even more mad, then give up and sulk about how they failed. I'm sorry to say that they have picked to gay community this time around. be comforted in the knowledge the burning people is out of style their for you should be mostly safe from harm. unlike my pagan kin form times since past. marry we meet marry we part and marry we meet again!

Homosexuality does not only go against religion it also goes against the laws of nature. Take a pack of wolves, if one is injured, they leave him to die, no one will bring him food, we humans take care for handicapped people, that's our human nature. The same goes for homosexuality, in an animal it would be considered a defect as he would not attempt in procreating and so he would not fullfil his only mission in life, he may attempt with another of the same sex but he will be bitten.
We humans don't leave the defects to die, we ''try'' to incorporate them into society, but this does not mean homosexuals have the right to get married if marriage was designed for a man and a woman, a provider and a care-taker, homosexuals want to marry because they never want to feel excluded, they've been pushing the line about this for some time, but now they even want to adopt children, it's crazy...what ideas would a child adopted by two homosexuals learn?.
Some aspects of society are not designed for homosexuals so they must restrain themselves from wanting to practice them.
Maybe if there was a ''homo-utopia'' were only homos lived they could do whatever they wanted.

Your right God did give us our free will, eiother to live for him or live in sin. I do not hate gay people at all. I do not agree with their lifestyle but that is their choice of life they want to live. The bible simply states homsexuality will not enter the Kingdom of God. God loves everyone but not their sin. It is in the Bible about homsexuals so if you have a problem with it. Then please take it up with God and the bible. He written it and it is his words. That no homosexuals enter the kingdom of God. Do some research in his word and you will learn. Other christians can not agree with their lifestyle but they should not hate them because God did create all man and woman. Like you you said we have free will so it is up to us to do the right thing. I chose to follow Gods word and live by it. I pray for people that they will see the truth in Gods word.

Cuz God gave us free will. So people can chooooooooooooooose to be christians of muslims or jews or whatever religion they want and they can choooooooooooooooooose to hate whom ever they want. They might make dumb choices, but that's what free will is all about.

Your question reveals you do not really know what free-will is.
If I may ......we have the option to exercise choice.
That does not mean, however, that all choices are acceptable.
It does not mean our choice doesn't matter, or is strictly a personal thing.
A person may freely choose to jump off a tall building .....but there are consequences to that choice.
