I totally understand this question. My problem is that since I have stopped working, I eat more. The highlight of my day is what I am going to prepare for dinner. Now I am not a big fat person, I have put on a few pounds (pleasingly plump), but I am still told by the opposite sex that I am very attractive. I personally can't see it because I feel that I don't fit my clothes as well as I use too.
I also eat alot when I am bored, nervous or upset. I replace happiness with food. I know these are symptoms of depression and have spoken to a professional about it. But to be honest with you I love to eat. I also love to cook. Cooking relaxes me. Most people hate going to the grocery store, and comming home to prepare meals. I look forward to it; and this time not out of boredom. I am actaully a very good cook. Most of my family and friends love my cooking. My fiance especially. I will admit he has put on a few extra pounds in the past several years.
Just recently I contracted a terrible stomach virus from my kid. I vomited, and had diarrhea for 3 days. It was awful. I just felt like I was going to die :( let alone, the fever, naseau, and body aches). Finally when it was over I couldn't stand the smell of foods, the taste of them or even look at food. Itsn't it ironic. My body felt completely empty inside. My stomach was flatter. I actually liked it alot. That told me something righgt there. My intestines had shrunk. So now my desire for eating has gradually seized.
How long will this feeling last (the lack of not wanting to eat, after illness)? I do need to loose a few pounds. So I will start on a diet and excercise program. But I will always still enjoy cooking, and shopping for food. I am also interested in opening and owning a restuarant like my father once had. I hope I can incorporate all these desires into my life and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

It's called the munchies mate! When we abuse our bodies either with weed or alcohol they cry out for relief. We've destroyed the nutrients we need by using them to sustain our abuse. Sweet things are particularly useful to abused livers. As to weed, it does nothing for me, so can't advise..

The munchies! The best I can figure is that pot effects the part of the brain that controls our senses. Food tastes better (or so it seems) and we want lots of it to feel satiated. You might sometime want to take a look at Dr. Daniel Amen's MRI photos of brains on pot....definitely will give you pause!

I am never stoned on weed and I never eat peanuts. I dunno? Because smoking weed makes everything more fun? Including eating? Probably.

These foods are addictive. The more you eat, the more you want.
