Jeez, what school did you graduate from? If i were you I'd ask for a refund.
Firstly: 1 + 1 = 2
Secondly you support of your theory is about as dumb as you. Your original question was 1 + 1 not -1 + 1 even then your final answer would be wrong simply because -1 + 1 = 0.

Um, am I the only person wondering WHY, in fact, you think you are correct in either circumstance? Because, not only did you post the question as "1+1" and not "-1+1.0", so therefore the answer would be 2. Furthermore, even if you had correctly posted the question under, say, Mathematics, as "-1+1=?" you would still be wrong! Because, as those of us who did indeed finish fifth grade know:
-1+1.0
=
0
Don't hurt yourself thinking there, honey.
But, if you are in fact talking about singles and dating, as the post subject implies, I'll tell you what: 1+1=30
that's the number of new people in your life, her friends and family, all bitching and whining and causing drama!

(-1)+(+1) = 0
It is like a marriage, one person + one person to make a whole person. It completes the circle.
