No, due to the anatomy of our bodies, it is impossible for an insect to eat into our brains. This is a myth that has been around for decades. Yes, bugs can enter our ears but can't reach our brains (remember that the brain is encased in bone!). The bugs will scratch and claw their way back out of our ears and, if we are awake and alert at the time, drive us nuts in the process.
