It's in the US and it's not for citizenship but for a green card and i'm 19. I'm haitian.

Well, I'm in your same boat. I hear it takes from 1 to two years, but i suggest that if your old enough just take the citezenship test (thats what i'm doing). If you take this approach, you dont have to renew your resedency because you'll already be a citizen. It is defenently worth your while. And if your not old enough, at least tell your dad to take the citizenship test. It opens up a lot of doors to people like us.

Are you taking about citizenship? That is different then having resided some where for 16 years.
