Foods that contain carbohydrates or carbs are mostly:
pastas, rice, bread, cereal, et cetera.
A lot of carbohydrates are bad for you because after you digest them, they turn into sugar in your body. But, don't cut it out completely, because they provide good energy for your body to work on.
Proteins include:
eggs, meat, beans
Good luck with your diet!
If I may also suggest, of course, cut down on sugary foods , sodas, and juices, and eat more salad and chicken is really healthy too!

Carbs come in simple and complex forms. If you look at the side of a container, you will notice that they have proteins, carbs, sugars, and sodium among other things broken down into servings. Complex Carbs are what give us somewhat sustained energy and are good for us. Simple carbs are basically meaningless calories...such as sugary drinks and foods (think cookies, cake, sodas etc.) They give us bursts of energy that wind down in pretty short order leaving us tired and cranky. Complex carbs are found in vegetables and fruits, which you will note are limited on a High Protein and Low Carb eating plan. Proteins can be meat/fish or plant based. Chicken, fish, beef, pork, lamb, tofu and other things have protein in them. Before undertaking a change in your diet, you might want to read up on good nutrition and portion control. Good luck!

Carbs are the main "fuel" for your body. There are simple carbs are basically sugars, and not always refined sugar. Sugar can be found naturally in things like fruits (fructose) and even milk (lactose). Complex carbs are "starches" like those found in grains and vegetables. Carbs are necessary for your body to funtion properly, so try to make healthy carb choices, like whole grains and beans, and choose whole fruits, which contain fiber, over fruit juices, which are pure sugar calories.
Protein is found in dairy, meat, eggs, fish, poultry, and soy. It can also be found in beans and legumes, but in lesser amounts.
