he sounds so angry at me and tells me to quit calling him. tells me i'm still in denial that the relationship is over. etc. i still have hopes he will miss me and come back. am i setting myself up for a big disappointment?

Ok first of all if he broke up with you...hes not goin to change his mind if you bug him about it....leave him be...start talkin to ther guys...he most likly will miss you an call you soon enough...might come back....might come back for just sex....but dont get hung up on him just cuz you have been with him a long time...its hard but you have to try move on....its like havin a real beat up old shirt that you LOVE wearin...one day your gonna need a new shirt and it wont be as comfortable...but the other shirt could start fallin apart and you need to just go shoppin

What was the reason for his departure? If he was really angry and you two split on some harsh terms, then chances are is it's over. As much of a romantic person that I am, I don't have much hope on this one. Guys tend to come crawling back pretty quickly after a big fight. This case though, I have my doubts. The only hope I have for you is that it was for 3 long years. That's the only reason I feel you may be hanging on by the ends of the ropes for dear life. Granted, that's a lot of memories. But just climb up that rope and continue on to another lucky soul who will win your heart! Develop newer and better memories to replace these. You will find a new love in no time...have faith!

yeah don't torture yourself, it's time to heal and move on, i know it's everything you don't want to hear i can tell you still want him back. Unless you enjoy this pain it would be a good idea to take next step in getting over your ex. and by the way don't let anyone tell you any different but 3 years is a long time, and may take more time than you want getting over him. The people that move on fast i consider *ice queens* it's a good sign when you don't move on at an accelerated rate that shows you really care and are possibly a good person. You don't want to hurt for too long though.

Yes you need to move on. The horse has left the barn, the stall door is open and it is long gone, so what do you do? Listening to you, you would stare at the stall door waiting for the horse to come back. You, however, need to get on with your life and maybe realize that the relationship is over because you maybe can not live in reality. He is angry at you because you can not let go, that is a horrible trait to have. Get rid of it and get on with your life. It is over.

Sounds like you are setting up yourself for a BIG disappointment. I know its difficult right now, but eventually you will get over it and meet someone new. Quit calling him and just accept the fact that its over.

Ok, the reason he is angry is because he has moved on and you should too. I know its harsh but eventually you will get over it and move on. Try to do things to take your mind off him. Pamper yourself a little. Go out with friends enjoy your life.

You know what, you don't want someone like that back in your life! Just move on. I know it might be hard at first, but a good guy will just come along one day and you'll wonder why you were so stuck on this guy and you'll realize how wrong he is for you and wonder why you didn't notice it sooner. :)

I just sit back and let him get over it and if it is meant to be it will but if you keep on at him he is going to get discouraged and not want anything more to happen. Act like you are going on with your life and see what will happen.
