found another one.A female Coondog,,skinny,,injured & running down the parkway.I got lost in the backroads after making a wrong turn or two this morning. They say things happen for a reason.Luckily the dog had the owners name & number on the collar.I am now waiting for the return call. ;O)

The owner picked up the girl.He was an older guy with hunting gear clothing.I think her injuries were from her hunting racoons as he said she does..She was bleeding on her legs & feet & had wound old marks on her back. She also had a lump on her face under ear. Then he takes the dog & puts it in an old green box on the back of his pick-up truck.I surely hope that dog doesnt live in that box.

I'm glad the owner showed up. The dog was out hunting and getting injured because the owner/hunter let the dog loose. I have a real problem with irresponsible hunters who don't take care of their dogs. Thank you for taking this dog in and calling the owner.

Hunting dogs often get astray from the hunter during a night of coon hunting. That's why hunters usually keep electronic tracking collars on them so that they can find them easily. The scratches were probably from coons, they can be very firey little animals. Most hunters have a "dog box" on the back of their truck to transport the dogs to and from the hunting site, don't worry, they don't make them live in there!
