Seeing as religious belief is a question of faith rather than evidence, whether you've read a religion's scriptures or not is incidental. It is possible, for instance, to be illiterate and a Christian. In fact, the Protestant reformation was partly aimed at a Catholic tradition of keeping religious texts in Latin for the explicit purpose that it would stop people from reading them.
So, if you can be a Christian and claim the Bible is true without having read it, it follows that you can be an atheist and claim that it is untrue without having read it.
Personally, though, I would have very little respect for anyone who claimed to hold an opinion about any book without having read it. I have read both the Bible and the Quran.

I'm an atheist, and I've read both the Quran and the Bible.
Out of the two I prefer the Bible. The stories are interesting. I find the Quran very repetitive and somewhat boring.

I am a follower of Jesus & I have read the Quran & have studied Islam in depth.
The Muslim faith, in my opinion, and in the opinion of Jesus is FUBAR. It is nothing more than a religion derived from Hinduism, and worships the moon god Al-lah (at least that is who Muhammads grandparents worshipped).
Christianity all comes down to the resurrection of Jesus.
Edit 1- Fia Zia
There are no errors found in the Quran because it doesn't make any prophetic (prediction type) claims & doesn't use much geography.

I've read the Bible over 20 times cover to cover (not including times I didn't read cover to cover and read parts here and there). I hold over 30 credit hours of college level Bible study, let alone informal Bible study.
I can't say I've done so much with Qu'ran, but I have read it, three times, in three different English interpretations.

Yes, I read the Internet translation, it was dull reading and it doesn't take so long to read as it is quite short., I guess that is the reason people can commit it to memory, especially if they are being harangued and beaten by a mullah in one of the Muslim madrases until they are word perfect.

I started to read it while I was seeking truth in various religions. I found truth through Jesus Christ our Savior. I still reference the Qu'ran but it is not to attack their beliefs. I find that the Qu'ran holds many fantastic passages that do show some truths. I enjoy talking about religion with Muslims in a friendly manner.
