Many dinosaurs, out of work since the last Jurassic Park fiasco, applied to be in the movie. The line was long and hot. Many of the vegetarian dinos did not make it to the audition due to predation in line. *sigh*
The T-rexs did not want to do any scenes with the Velociraptors. The T-rexs claimed that the Velociraptors were Johnny-Come-Latelies and that T-rex was, afterall, the model for Godzilla. When the movie company decided that they could live without the T-rex and just go with Velociraptors, the Dimetrodons and Tricerotops claimed that meat-eating was un-Biblical. The bloodshed after that pretty well spelled the end of having ANY dinosaurs in the movie.
Instead, they chalked in a deal with the Geiko gecko. Unfortunately, all his best scenes were cut.
Thank you for asking about this important part of Hollywood movie history.

Because even if you accept the existence of dinosaurs, they appear to have become extinct several million years ago. The events that 10 Commandments were based on occured about 3,500 years ago. So to be historically accurate, dinosaurs were not included.

Unavailability of CGI's and Still motion looks tacky.
Perhaps the world was awaiting the coming of the Jewish Messiah for Dinos to be well portrayed on film: Steven Spielberg.
("The Dinosaurs died in the Flood"!!!! OMFG!!!! These morons are hitting an all-time LOW today!!)

A new movie's comming out it'll be called ''The 13 Commandments'', apparently god forgot to include 3 commandments in the original: ''Thou shall not clone thy baby'', ''Thou shall not split the atom'' and ''Thou shall not ask why the lord never knew about dinosaurs''

Because dinosarus are not even mentioned in the Bible. There for, they have no basis as being even mentioned in the movie.
