Maybe try lowfat yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, or a couple eggs with some light toast. You could pick and choose for a variety on different days, or combine a couple.

That's the problem right there: when you skip breakfast, then your body starts to conserve its reserves ie...you don't lose weight. Try a complete meal, with protein, like eggs and 2 pieces of buttered toast, or low-sugar cereal and juice. Then walk or do some form of exercise 4-5x a week for 20 mins. at least. You'll see results. Also cut out your pop or sugar, and substitute fruit, veggies, and fruit juices. Eat whole grains instead of white bread or pasta. Just a few adjustments and you'll see a big difference on the scale. Good luck.

Eat breakfast everyday. It will get your metabolism started each morning and will actually help you burn calories better through out the day. A piece of fruit like a banana, apple, or orange, and low fat yogurt are great. They'll keep you satisfied until lunch.

To lose 20lbs in 5 weeks, I hope you're doing more than just eating healthy at breakfast

Should always eat breakfast, it helps in losing weight. I suggest a cereal that is low in fat and high in fiber (healthy heart is good, also rasain brain is great) lots of fruit, too. I eat a banana and water for breakfast (during th week, it's conventient when driving to work) and on the weekends I eat healthy heart, rasain bran or special K.

eat a high fiber/protein cereal (my favorite is kashi go lean crunch) with some fruit and skim milk for breakfast. it will keep you satisfied till lunch. just make sure you are measuring your cereal portion. a 1 cup serving does not even come close to filling a bowl. if you are eating a full bowl of cereal you will be consuming 2 or 3 times the calories you think you are! another good option is egg substitute (like egg beaters) on a light english muffin. thomas's light english muffins only have 100 calories and lots more fiber than a regular one. put some low fat cheese if you like. these two options keep me full all morning, taste good and help keep weight off!

I have been on a diet where you eat 1/2 a large grapefruit and 1 piece of dry 100% whole wheat toast. There is enzymes in the grapefruit that help break down fat cells and you need the toast for the fiber and nutrients. Hope this helps.

oatmeal, fruit, protein shake, banana, whole grain toast w/jelly, egg whites, yogurt... you have many options if you can't make yourself breakfast and have to get a bagel do whole wheat w/light spread or lite butter and a piece of fruit - just eat half the bagel .. maybe save the other half for a snack between breakfast/lunch... your breakfast is the most important meal of the day... I never ate it until about 5years ago and can tell a tremendous difference in my diet and my body! you need to refuel.. think of it that way...

First of all, you can't lose that much weight in 5 weeks....Ok, well, maybe you could but it would be water weight and not fat.

Don't set goals for yourself like "I'm going to lose X pounds in X weeks" because when it doesn't happen you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Now, in response to your question, I would recommend something with "staying power," something that will fill you up long enough to tide you over for a few hours, such as high fiber cereal (Fiber One, Wheat Chex, All Bran, Mini Wheats, etc) or eggs (lots of protein), paired with fruit and your drink of choice (coffee, tea, juice, water, etc).

Protein for energy (important in the morning) and healthy fats to keep you feeling full longer (nuts) A peanut butter sandwich (on whole grain bread) is a good start. Avoid sugary fruits (banana, raisins) and juices.

A good breakfast would be orange juice, and a healthy cereal. Its good to get your Fibre and Vitamin C in there. Prefferably not toast.
