another thing is, i like playing with fire. in fact when i changed the gas tank in my car, i lit IT on fire to see what happened.
a little flaming mushroom cloud.
and as to my name, it is so you point fingers at the right entity for once.

i do not consider myself a pagan, i am an observer(and active employee) of wrongdoings in the name of religion and god takes the cake. he first asked for sacrifices but when his 'son' was born (i think mary cheated while drunk) he was good until he allowed him to die too(probably cuz people liked him more) then his followers thought they should kill everyone who was different.

to the person who wrote about god in school. we were supposed to have complete separation of church and state because of the narrow-minded(even today) churches at that time

I feel bad for the evils perpetuated by the various incarnations of the Church of which I am a believer. But it's the same kind of bad feeling about U.S. slavery, or about the U.S. dropping the atomic bomb on Japan--I wish it had not happened, I believe we were wrong to do it, I even think that compensation may be necessary to rectify the (previous and ongoing) wrongs. But I wasn't directly responsible, so I don't feel personal guilt. I'd rather spend the time now acting to ensure that such actions are not perpetuated by the current incarnation of the Church (or the government, etc.).

I have not attempted genocide of anyone. That is like asking the caucasions who are in their 20's do they feel bad about their part in slavery. I did not take part in any genocide against pagans nor have I ever taken part of slavery.
You shouldn't ask people about their part in something that happened many moons ago. Because the only things I have ever attempted to wipe out are flies.

I feel bad not just for Pagans (as I have many friends who are), but for everyone around the world suffering genocide for ridicoulous religious war. I do not classify myself as a Christian but as a follower of God and a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray for ALL God's children. Religous, or political for that matter, standing is not of concern to me.

What? I haven't promoted genocide? Maybe you are talking to Muslims...well they are following an old pagan moon God called Al-lah.
Edit 1-
Regarding the witch trials, crusades, etc... I am totally opposed to them. They seem more political or religious to me. These things would definately be condemned by Jesus too (ie-Peter cutting off the guys ear in the garden).

I haven't attempted to kill anyone. But, your questioin is wrong... genocide is the attempt to destroy a race of people, paganism isn't a race. No Christians I know attempt to kill pagans today (althought they wrongly waged the Crusades) they attempt to offer them salvation through Christ. So, what exactly is your point?

Do you have a specific instance to relate, or are you just making things up?
If I were personally involved in attempted genocide of anyone, yes - I'd feel bad about it. But since I have not been involved in such a fictional event, I have no qualms regarding my non-participation.

Isn't it amazing how so many Christians can talk bad about the "evils of Islam", but if you try to remind them of the attempted genocide that has occurred over the last 800 years, and in some parts of the world is still occurring, that they all bury their heads in the sand and don't want to hear it?
Guess what people, the Arabs killed or converted your ancestors. (mostly killed) You have adopted their beliefs, and the "invasion of Islam" that I hear so much about is a continuation of the same thing with a different name.

As a Pagan, I don't expect modern people to feel bad for what happened hundreds of yrs ago. I do expect them to recognize and admit the evil some in their religion has done in the past and I really wish they would do it without the "well, they weren't REAL Christians" - which, to me, is a really lame excuse to ignore what happened.

What attempted Genocide of all pagans? You aren't making any sense here. Do you have kind of a "thing" about people who are religious?

I have no control over the past. There has been violence in all religions, even the pagans.
I take thou shall not kill very seriously. Its not my place to judge, only God has that power to do so. I'm only human.
