Sin is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral rule or the state of having committed such a violation. In monotheistic religions, the code of conduct is determined by God. Colloquially, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, shameful, harmful, or alienative might be termed "sinful".

No, homosexuality is not sin. How can love between two individuals that doesn't harm anyone be sinful? We see homosexuality in nature. If you believe in god, didn't god create nature? Therefore, did not god create homosexuals? It's not a choice (I have seen enough homosexual males and females who ended up unhappy because they suppressed their true natures and stayed in a heterosexual relationships).

ANYTHING that causes pain or suffering. To yourself or others. In any way shape or form. In the present or unforeseeable future. Action stems from thought, too much or too little. And ALL actions have some form of recourse on others.
